Apps for Medical Students

Heres a list of apps and websites that I found most helpful while studying medicine and even during my internship, and would consider being useful during my career as well.

  1. UpToDate -
In my opinion, this is the best evidence-based clinical resource available and as their website states UpToDate is the only clinical decision support resource associated with improved outcomes. More than 80 research studies demonstrate its impact on improved patient care and hospital performance. It has all the information you need and is presented in depth and is very well organized, this makes it easy to find the information you need. The infographics and extremely useful especially when calculating scores required to meet certain diagnostic criteria. Subscription as an individual is required for access and most universities have institutional access which allows students and staff free access to UpToDate.  https://www.uptodate.com/home

Figure 1 was founded in Toronto by Dr. Joshua Landy, Richard Penner, and Gregory Levey.
